As the Head of Digital Acquisition, you’ll lead our global B2C acquisition engine, owning SEO,  SEM and other acquisition channels to grow visibility, traffic, and bookings across 400+ cities. You’ll manage a €4M+ annual marketing budget, build and scale a team of internal specialists and agency partners, and define strategies that drive acquisition impact through both search and emerging digital levers.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership leadership role requiring deep performance expertise, strong analytical thinking, and proven ability to scale. Your primary focus will be search—organic and paid—but you’ll also be expected to test and validate additional acquisition opportunities such as paid social, referral programs, and affiliate growth in partnership with other teams.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, Content, and CRM to align acquisition efforts with broader business goals
  • Build and manage a team of SEO, SEM, and analytics contributors (4+ FTEs and agency partners)
  • Act as the primary owner of agency performance, strategy alignment, and execution delivery
  • Coach internal talent, define KPIs, and build strong operating rituals for continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with CRM and Retention teams to connect acquisition signals with lifecycle optimization

Leadership & Team Management

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of SEO and SEM across 400+ cities and tens of thousands of landing pages in 6+ languages
  • Oversee technical SEO, content optimization, link-building, and page structure with internal and external teams
  • Manage Google Ads, Bing Ads, and future paid platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok) with a clear ROAS and CAC lens
  • Align paid and organic search efforts around shared keyword insights, funnel intent, and commercial impact
  • Guide localization and international expansion across high-opportunity markets while balancing quality and efficiency
  • Evaluate and test additional acquisition channels such as paid social, referral marketing, and affiliate campaigns

Performance Optimization & Analytics

  • Track, analyze, and act on acquisition KPIs including traffic, CTR, quote rate, conversion, CPA, ROAS, and LTV
  • Lead structured testing across ads, audiences, bidding, landing pages, and targeting strategies
  • Build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Looker, GA4, GSC, and ad platform data
  • Identify underperformance early and drive course corrections; double down on high-ROI city/channel combinations
  • Maintain close alignment with commercial metrics (e.g., bookings, GMV, unit economics)

Budget & Resource Ownership

  • Own and manage the €4M+ global acquisition budget, ensuring efficient spend and strong ROI
  • Prioritize spend allocation based on performance, market potential, and strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with Finance and Leadership to forecast, justify, and optimize acquisition investments

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in SEO, SEM, and performance marketing, ideally in multi-country B2C or marketplace environments
  • Proven track record managing €2M+ budgets and optimizing campaigns with measurable ROI
  • Hands-on expertise in keyword research, technical SEO, bid strategy, and content-led SEO at scale
  • Fluency in key platforms: Google Ads, GA4, GSC, Looker, SEMrush or Ahrefs
  • Strong team leadership and coaching skills, including agency and stakeholder management
  • Commercially minded — comfortable thinking in bookings, quote rate, CAC, and ROAS
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills across content, analytics, product, and marketing
  • Bonus: experience in travel tech, B2C SaaS, or multilingual search strategies
