Job description

Substance is looking for a proactive SMB Business Development Specialist to join our team and help us expand our presence in the small and medium business (SMB) market. In this role, you will focus on identifying and engaging potential clients, building strong relationships, and contributing to our overall revenue growth.

Your expertise in understanding the needs of SMBs will be crucial as you work to present our products and services effectively. You will play a key role in shaping our outreach strategies and ensuring client success.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the SMB segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients through networking and outreach initiatives.
  • Conduct needs assessments and provide tailored solutions that meet the unique requirements of SMBs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute targeted campaigns that resonate with the SMB audience.
  • Support sales presentations and proposals to facilitate the conversion of leads into clients.
  • Track and analyze market trends to inform business development strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and opportunities within our CRM system.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably with a focus on SMBs.
  • Strong understanding of the SMB landscape and their specific needs.
  • Exceptional communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to work in a results-driven environment and meet sales targets.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
