Job description

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $90k - $115k annually (depending on experience)

Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office (please see on-site requirements below)

**On-Site Requirements: Position will require on-site work at Patuxent River, MD one - two days per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.  

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience with requirements gathering/analysis for a software development or data warehousing team, with a thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the principles and practices of Agile development.  The candidate should be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and possess excellent communication skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Gathering information from Stakeholders through interviews, meetings, observations, surveys, and documentation analysis
  • Evaluate, refine, and prioritize requirements to ensure they are complete, clear, consistent, and feasible
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and other team members, utilizing GitLab to document/update requirements
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation (How To’s, FAQ, User Guides, Requirements Documents, etc.)
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team
  • Ensure technical requirements meet business needs and are implemented according to Stakeholder expectations
  • Participate in the creation and execution of test plans and testing activities
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

Required:

  • Experience eliciting, documenting, maintaining, and analyzing requirements for a software development team
  • Experience working with stakeholders from both business and technical teams
  • Experience creating and executing test plans
  • BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.

 

Desired:

  • Familiarity with NAVAIR/NAWC business data systems
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools, specifically GitLab
  • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma
  • Familiarity with databases and SQL

Security Clearance: 

Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.  Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education/Experience:

BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
