Job Description

The Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant in India. This will be a permanent role that will involve a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, daily reconciliation of wallets, review of employee expense, general ledger reconciliations for various balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.

Responsibilities

• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for India covering disbursements, repayments, net cash, and third-party contracts.
• Prepare and record journal entries to support a timely month-end close using NetSuite.
• Analyse and complete assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Record cash and expense transactions, ensuring accurate categorization.
• Ensure consistent expense categorization for vendors.
• Assist in ensuring that all statutory dues are paid on time.
• Partner with various departments on accruals, vendor management and contracts management.
• Assist the team to ensure the preparation and communication of timely and accurate monthly financial and management reports.
• Assist with preparation of monthly cash projections.
• Assist with annual external audit, completing requested materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Masters in finance or related areas
• 1-2 years accounting experience in similar position
• Hands on Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Self-motivated, creative
• Super organized and results focused
• Flexibility to work with team members in different time zones daily is essential
