Job Description
The Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant in India. This will be a permanent role that will involve a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, daily reconciliation of wallets, review of employee expense, general ledger reconciliations for various balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
Responsibilities
Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for India covering disbursements, repayments, net cash, and third-party contracts.
Prepare and record journal entries to support a timely month-end close using NetSuite.
Analyse and complete assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Record cash and expense transactions, ensuring accurate categorization.
Ensure consistent expense categorization for vendors.
Assist in ensuring that all statutory dues are paid on time.
Partner with various departments on accruals, vendor management and contracts management.
Assist the team to ensure the preparation and communication of timely and accurate monthly financial and management reports.
Assist with preparation of monthly cash projections.
Assist with annual external audit, completing requested materials.
Qualifications
Bachelor's/Masters in finance or related areas
1-2 years accounting experience in similar position
Hands on Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities
Fluent spoken and written English
Self-motivated, creative
Super organized and results focused
Flexibility to work with team members in different time zones daily is essential
