Job description

Position Purpose: Promote increased Medicare Supplemental Benefit efficiency, service levels, and value by capturing, developing,  monitoring performance, and then identifying opportunities for improvement and strategies to realize those opportunities. Develop, plan, lead, monitor, and own multiple, concurrent resultant Medicare Supplemental Benefits utilizing cross functional teams to deliver defined results and meet company strategic objectives.

  • End-to-end development, filing and execution of the Medicare Supplemental benefits. Program Manager III will own a complex portfolio of designs, and directly responsible for developing the designs annually. Directly responsible for developing CMS filing guides for benefits. Program Manager III is responsible for development, aspects of contract and rate negotiations, developing complex benefits that support Medicaid -Medicare, and maintaining a competitive, innovative portfolio.
  • Develop and lead strategies, including financial strategies, member materials, benefit filing and contracting. Develop innovative and competitive portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, improve service levels and to ensure regulatory compliance through enhanced operations
  • Develop strategies to realize improvement opportunities, and ensure organizational prioritization and resource alignment
  • Manage multiple benefit packages through full product life cycle process including requirements gathering, creation of RFIs, RFPs, vendor assessments, benefit analysis, plans and schedules, obtaining and managing resources, managing budget, and facilitating strategy execution, deployment and closure
  • Utilize corporate and industry standard project management tools and techniques to effectively manage benefit packages
  • Maintain detailed project documentation as needed including action items, issues lists and risk mitigation plans
  • Provide leadership and effectively communicate status and proposals to all stakeholders, including executive summaries and presentations
  • Negotiate with project stakeholders to identify and secure resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks
  • Lead meetings with various functional areas and vendors to meet overall stakeholder expectations and company’s objectives
  • Provide functional and technical knowledge regarding overall program requirements and operations

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, related field, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years project implementation, product or program management experience. Managed care or prescription benefit management experience preferred.

Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $154,700.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
