The Director Global Product Management - Biosciences plays a pivotal role in shaping and commercializing the Global and NAM biosciences portfolio. As part of an actively growing business, this role plays a crucial role in maximizing the short and long-term value of new and existing products through excellence in Product/Portfolio Life Cycle Management. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of bioscience products on a global scale.
What will you do?
Strategy and Business Accountabilities:
Define and develop product strategy lifecycle roadmap and champion across all regions/functions.
Develop and ensure execution of the product strategy and tactics that maximize overall profitability of the Portfolio across the 5-year planning period and beyond.
Prepare robust 5-year plans and through peak year of revenue, aligned with regions, including risks and opportunities and in collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, regulatory and supply.
Act as the champion for the assigned products globally and in region when necessary.
Product Management Accountabilities
Develop business cases for each product, including NPV, following proof of concept and gain approval through the relevant governing bodies within Mosaic.
Manage product life cycles of existing and new product introductions, providing direction and coordinating strategies across functions including R&D, supply, sales, marketing, finance in order to maximize profitable product life.
Monitor market intelligence, bringing actionable customer/market insights into portfolio strategy and marketing plan.
Develop and execute product positioning and pricing strategies for each product and the portfolio.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and R&D to identify and define new solutions to address market need, from concept to business cases
Product Knowledge
Understand the basic technical aspects of bioscience products and it’s features and benefits s to the customer.
Understands product profile and value by crop, customer and channel segment.
Understands the product positioning and value proposition by segment and can build an effective product strategy.
Knows the strengths and weaknesses of the product performance versus competition.
Understands the product offer: price, margins, position, packaging, etc. and how this impacts it in the marketplace.
Understands and develops, in conjunction with local product management, clear product guidelines for region and country execution.

What do you need for this role?
Bachelor's degree required with major in Business, Agriculture, Agronomy, Marketing preferred
Master's degree preferred
10 years of experience in ag business with preferred experience with value added products and proven as a product manager.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to model scenarios and prepare product plans.
Solid understanding of finance principles, including profit and loss and net present value.
Basic understanding of Research and Development stage gate development process and functional milestones.
Commercial and customer-facing experience in North America, international a plus.
Proven track record in managing complex, multi-year projects and driving cross-functional change.
Strong leadership and influencing skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management albitites.
Marketing experience in branding, pricing, positioning, market research plus basics of channel management.
Customer-focused team player with conflict resolution skills and multicultural experiences a plus.
Understand market dynamics and competitive environment in agriculture industry and translate it into strategy.
Have a high degree of personal and professional integrity, including being a self-starter, the ability to acknowledge mistakes and take ownership of results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present concepts and proposals at high levels
