Job description

M&IW is looking an experienced and creative incentive travel professional with a passion for the incentive industry. The Destination & Experience Design Consultant is responsible for conceptualizing and designing incentive travel programs that will provide meaningful experiences that inspire and motivate our client’s top performers, customers, or valued employees. This position includes creative concepting, proposal design and development, site sourcing, client presentations, vendor contract negotiation, and transitioning programs to operations team to provide optimal services to the client and maximum revenues to M&IW. This position also assists with building client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities, and continuous process improvement.

What you will do here:

Incentive Travel Program Design, Sourcing and Proposal Development

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess needs and develop strategic and consultative program solutions
  • Design immersive, engaging incentive travel experiences and gifting solutions
  • Lead end-to-end RFP and proposal process, from concept to client agreement
  • Write compelling, experience-driven content for proposals that tell the story of the attendee experience and destination
  • Develop and build visually complex and detailed client proposals
  • Research destinations, themes, venues, hotels, cruises, DMCs, entertainment, gifting and experiences, and trends
  • Develop and manage site selection, sourcing, pricing negotiations, contracts, and addendums with professionalism and integrity
  • Create detailed program budgets and track cost savings
  • Provide destination insights and consultative support to aid sales closure
  • Communicate effectively with clients, account teams, and internal departments
  • Ensure accurate audit documentation and reporting
  • Deliver comprehensive turnover packages to operations post-signature
  • Coordinate and attend site inspections as needed
  • Build strong client and supplier relationships to support program success
  • Represent company at industry events, meetings, and speaking opportunities
  • Participate in virtual team meetings, training, and team-building activities
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, manage time zone differences, and meet shifting client demands

What you will bring:

  • 5-7+ years in the incentive travel industry/incentive program experience design/international and domestic incentive travel purchasing and proposal development
  • Creative design and copywriting experience
  • College degree or equivalent experience (Hospitality or Business degree preferred)
  • Ability to travel as requested for site inspections and industry events including internationally (15%)
  • Ability to work remotely and report to remote Manager / Director.
