Agent In Charge (AIC)Job Description
As Greatway USA continues to grow its footprint in the U.S. insurance and financial services market, we are seeking a dynamic, licensed Agent in Charge (AIC) to oversee agent operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and serve as a vital liaison between Greatway USA, its U.S.-based vendors, and our Canadian headquarters. The AIC will play a key leadership role in establishing and maintaining operational excellence, compliance integrity, and agent performance standards across the U.S. region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Agent Oversight & Compliance • Supervise and provide leadership to licensed insurance agents operating under Greatway USA. • Ensure all agent activities comply with applicable federal and state insurance laws and licensing requirements. • Monitor production, sales quality, and adherence to Greatway's code of conduct. • Act as the primary compliance resource and point of escalation for agent-related issues.
2. Liaison Between Greatway USA and Greatway Canada • Collaborate closely with the Canadian leadership team to align operational goals, sales strategies, and compliance procedures. • Facilitate clear and timely communication between Greatway USA and Greatway Canada. 2 • Translate U.S. market conditions and regulatory updates into actionable feedback for the Canadian team.
3. Vendor and Partner Relations • Manage day-to-day relationships with U.S.-based vendors. • Ensure vendors meet service-level expectations and integrate effectively with Greatway systems. • Represent Greatway USA in contract discussions and performance reviews with external partners.
4. Leadership & Reporting • Serve as the central authority for all regulatory correspondence and audits. • Prepare regular reports on agent performance, market trends, and operational risks. • Help build and scale a strong, compliant, and collaborative agency model in the U.S.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Active life and health insurance license(s) in at least one U.S. state; multi-state licensing preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior agent, brokerage, or compliance leadership role.
• Familiarity with Managing General Agent (MGA) operations and supervisory structures.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. insurance regulatory frameworks. • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a cross-border and remote-first environment. • Previous experience liaising with international teams is an asset.
