We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Consultant MedTech to join our team! 

LOCATION- Remote in Canada (preferably, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa area)

 

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Clinical Consultant, Medtech reports to the Senior Director, Medtech.

 The Clinical Consultant supports the overall strategy of the MedTech portfolio by providing  internal and external partners with clinical and sales support, implementation expertise, and education with the ability to adjust tactics to varying customer audiences. The Clinical Consultant is a clinically trained healthcare professional with therapeutic expertise and knowledge of company products. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES  

  •  Identifies, establishes, and develops relationships with key clinical and non- clinical decision makers to clinically support company product lines
  •  Provides strategic clinical advice on new product introductions and the modification of such products for the Canadian market
  •  Provides leadership in developing implementation programs that follow and exceed industry best practices while working with and incorporating the needs of health care institutions
  •  Develops, supports, and delivers education material for products
  •  Educates and updates customers through in-service training, literature, videos, and articles approved by the company
  •  Maintains knowledge of products, clinical procedures, and educational requirements in support of the sales and product usage cycles
  •  Provides consultative and support services to both customers and sales representatives relating to ancillary products in the market
  •  Interprets and translates clinical data into high quality, innovative and strategic educational activities that support the overall strategy of the sales team
  •  Collaborates with global entities in support of the Canadian sales and marketing strategies
  •  Provides relevant clinical presentations to medical professionals and other key decision makers as appropriate
  •  Travels as required to collaborate with sales presentations and/or product implementation strategies
  •  Internally there is interaction with staff and management of all local and regional internal departments including but not limited to: Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and Scientific Affairs as applicable
  •  Externally there is interaction with health care professionals, marketing support services and related vendors

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  •  University degree in a related health care discipline (preferentially in nursing)
  •  Minimum of three years of hospital-based employment, preferentially with university hospital experience
  •  Minimum of three years experience in the medical device industry
  •  Strong preference to those with a background in Infusion Therapy, Hematology or Transfusion Medicine
  •  Able to travel globally on occasion, and within Canada up to 50% of the time  Able to frequently lift and carry products with extended sitting and standing  Valid driver’s license and passpor

SKILLS

  •  Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Bilingual (English and French is a strong asset) written and verbal communication skills.
  •  Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
  •  Strong computer skills in Microsoft® Office. Advanced presentation application software skills (Microsoft PowerPoint)
  •  Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  •  Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and handle fluctuating workloads
  •  Excellent organizational and problem solving skills  
  • Excellent continuous improvement skills
