Job Summary:

Zing Health is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative Zing IT Enterprise Data Management team. The ideal candidate will have strong development and delivery experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQLServer supported by a deep understanding of ETL processing, Data management standards and Data Operations. Additionally, the individual needs to have a good understanding of business capabilities and business processes in Healthcare domain.  

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop and implement efficient data management processes, optimizing workflows to enhance data accuracy, quality, and efficiency leveraging Azure based data management tools and technologies (ETL and SQL developer, Azure SQLServer, ADF, SSIS, SSRS).  
• Migrate existing SSIS implementations when necessary to ADF framework. 
• Support Data Governance and Operations Excellence objectives by enhancing data related standards, controls, and processes. 
• Provide support in triaging production issues when needed. 
• Mentor data team resources in Best-in-Class industry practices to maintain standards and quality, support a collaborative and high-performance work culture. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems, or Related field. 
• Over 8+ years of experience in Information Technology. Prefer prior experience within the HealthCare payer domain, with exposure to areas of Member, Provider, Claims and Medical Management. Prior Medicare experience would be considered as a plus. 
• Over 6+ years prior experience as a SQLServer ETL Developer with knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server SSIS and SSRS implementations. 
• Strong SQL and ADF developer skills, including ability to performance tune SQL code and SQLServer databases, Establish data processing pipelines and implement integrations with internal/external systems for batch and real-time processing.  
• Require Prior Knowledge of Daily Production Operations including triaging production issues. 
• Prior experience in Database administration (DBA) is preferred 
• Knowledge of Data Mastering platforms and Other programming languages and databases is a plus. 
• Past experience in mentoring Data teams in best practices, standards, key problematic issues like complex query development and performance optimization. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams and with both Business and IT stakeholders. 
• Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. 
• Strong project management and multi-tasking skills.
