Your mission

As a leading operator of long-range drones (BVLOS) in Germany and Europe, Beagle Systems is driven by innovation. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an Airworthiness & Permits Manager (m/f/d).

In this role, you will be responsible for all regulatory aspects of our drone operations, including the application for and further development of operational approvals. You will analyze legal requirements, communicate with authorities, and ensure compliance with regulations during drone missions.

Your commitment ensures the smooth execution of our missions and makes a significant contribution to the success of our innovative projects.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with relevant national and international regulations (e.g., LuftVG, LuftVO, EU Regulations 2019/947 & 2019/945).
Conduct risk analyses using tools such as SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment) and SAIL (Specific Assurance and Integrity Level).
Take responsibility for incident reporting and coordinate all related tasks within the framework of occurrence reporting.

Permits & Operations Manuals

Create, maintain, and further develop our operations manuals.
Coordinate permits for drone operations at both national and international levels, including the LUC – Light UAS Operator Certificate.

Stakeholder Management & Advisory

Build and maintain relationships with authorities, air traffic organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.
Advise management on participation in national and international committees and associations.

Development of New Approval Approaches & Flight Route Planning

Develop, analyze, and implement new approval approaches in a dynamic market.
Define the framework for creating and applying for new flight routes.

Your profile

Experience & Education:
Completed degree or relevant professional experience in fields such as aviation, aviation law, law, or a similar discipline.

Regulatory Knowledge:
Experience in interpreting and practically implementing regulatory requirements and frameworks for unmanned aviation, particularly regarding operational approvals with respect to the Aviation Act (LuftVG), Aviation Ordinance (LuftVO), and EU drone regulations (2019/947 and 2019/945).

Language Skills:
Business-fluent German and English.

Working Style:
Structured, self-reliant working approach as well as strong communication skills.
