Systems Administrator II
(This is a remote position open to applicants residing in TX, AZ, KS, CO or NM)
Job Description
The Systems Administrator II is responsible for providing front-line technical support and expert-level service to customers by efficiently resolving complex IT issues. This role focuses on reducing support load through ticket analysis, tooling checks, and root cause investigations. The administrator will deliver prompt and professional customer service, documenting remediation steps with clarity and precision. Duties include resolving software and hardware issues, configuring user accounts and email access, and providing basic end-user training. This position requires participation in an after-hours on-call rotation to address urgent issues. The Systems Administrator II serves as a point of escalation for peers, providing mentorship, leadership, and guidance. They ensure that incidents and tickets meet company documentation standards and contribute to team success by delegating tasks and maintaining high visibility over ticket boards. The ideal candidate excels at fostering a positive client experience, whether over the phone or in person, and demonstrates a strong commitment to service excellence, personal touch, and technical accuracy.
Requirements
4 years of related experience with 1 year of experience in a Tier 2 or greater IT support role
Microsoft/Net+/A+ Certification or equivalent experience.
Additional certifications in relevant technical areas such as Microsoft 365, Entra, Windows Server, or Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals are a plus.
Must be able to logically plan - provide structured outlines and plans for the implementation or changing of client networks or workflows. This information should be well documented.
