Essential Job Duties

Our AI team is expanding. From prototypes to production features, we’re building logic to harness data to unleash new product possibilities and accelerate our business. Through our mission we can help millions of users in growing businesses achieve more with smart insights and interactions.

As an AI/ML Engineer, your growing skills are at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. You’ll contribute to data-centric backend services, thoughtful abstractions and APIs, and interactive experiences such as conversational agents and interpretive tools.

You will:

Code data-intensive software and algorithms
Leverage platforms for driving intelligent decisions, interacting with machine learning models, and powering interactions such as conversational interfaces
Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, data analysts, software engineers, IT specialists, and stakeholders to expand the effective use of AI applications
Research and prove out new approaches and algorithms through prototypes

What You Need to Get the Job Done

2+ years of professional experience building data-centric software as a machine learning engineer, AI specialist, software-focused data scientist, or similar
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, and vector databases
Track record as an engineer building for production, ideally with machine learning algorithms, data-centric platform services, and stochastic systems
Experience with languages including Python, Java, Clojure, and/or the ability to pick up new languages quickly
Demonstrated ability to interface data repositories/caches / pipelines, message queues, ML models, LLMs, and other services in cloud environments, especially AWS
Skill collaborating using cloud-based tooling, git, notebooks, and ML workflows

A strong contender will also demonstrate:

Affinity for writing clean code
Intuitive grasp of LLM capabilities and limitations
Understanding of machine learning evaluation methods and experiment design
Creative problem solving and root cause analysis abilities
Initiative to dive into intimidating technical problems and unfamiliar paradigms
Interest in keeping up with emerging techniques
Participation in team processes and AIOps
Productive interactions that lift the team and stakeholders

Beyond the technical skills, we’re looking for individuals who are:

Clear communicators (verbal and written)
Able to synthesize patterns and useful abstractions
Conversant in underlying data structures, math, and algorithms
Productive in a dynamic setting
