Job Title: Clinical Applications Engineer
Location: Remote (Must reside in Florida)
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
RMS is seeking a Clinical Applications Engineer to join our Clinical Informatics team. This role is responsible for supporting and optimizing clinical applications and related systems across all divisions. The ideal candidate will work closely with radiologists, end users, IT teams, and vendors to resolve technical issues, streamline workflows, and ensure optimal system performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enhance the radiologist and end-user experience with clinical applications

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and implement system improvements

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with clinical systems

  • Analyze workflows and recommend process improvements

  • Provide senior-level support and escalate complex issues to vendors when needed

  • Manage and maintain PACS, RIS, dictation, and other clinical systems

  • Ensure accurate and timely DICOM and HL7 data transmission

  • Implement and test updates, patches, and enhancements

  • Research and recommend new tools or technologies to improve efficiency and system performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer technology or a related field, or

  • Associate degree plus 2 years of related experience, or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of radiology workflow and processes

  • Self-starter with strong time management skills

  • HL7 knowledge

  • DICOM knowledge

  • Basic IT knowledge (hardware, software, systems troubleshooting)

  • Professional and collaborative communication style

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • EPIC experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting or standing and computer use

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds

  • Manual dexterity for office equipment

  • Ability to perform occasional on-site tasks

Work Environment:

  • Remote (must live in Florida)

  • Occasional in-office or on-site presence may be required

  • Evening or weekend work may be needed depending on business needs

  • Fast-paced and collaborative environment
