Overview

ABOUT US:

Founded in 1993, Bayview Asset Management is an investment management firm focused on investments in mortgage and consumer credit, including whole loans, asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and other credit-related assets.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Total Rewards Analyst will play a key supporting role in the execution of Bayview’s compensation and benefits programs. This position provides exposure across both functional areas, contributing to the administration, documentation, communication, and continual enhancement of Total Rewards offerings.

The Analyst will work closely with the Total Rewards team including subject matter experts in Benefits and Compensation to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, well-organized content and communications, and a strong foundation of data integrity and documentation. This role is ideal for a candidate with early career experience in Total Rewards or HR, who is eager to grow and take on broader responsibilities over time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compensation Support:

  • Assist with compensation benchmarking, survey submissions, and market pricing exercises to help maintain competitive pay practices
  • Contribute to the design and refinement of compensation programs
  • Support the annual compensation cycle
  • Create and maintain content for the Compensation SharePoint site to support employee education and manager enablement

Benefits & Leave Support:

  • Monitor and respond to incoming employee inquiries via the Benefits inbox
  • Assist with leave administration documentation and coordination; exposure to FMLA, ADA, and/or state leave laws a plus
  • Support open enrollment, including content development, logistics, and compliance coordination
  • Maintain and enhance content on the Benefits SharePoint site to support employee self-service

Communications & Execution:

  • Draft and organize internal communications related to benefits and compensation
  • Contribute to communication planning, messaging, and engagement initiatives
  • Support coordination of deliverables, meeting prep, and tracking for Total Rewards projects
  • Take the initiative to move projects forward while knowing when to escalate or seek direction
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-4 years of experience in Total Rewards, HR, or a related area
  • Exposure to compensation processes, survey submissions, and leave policies (e.g., FMLA, ADA)
  • Experience with HR systems (UKG or Workday preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • SharePoint content editing experience a plus

  • Comfortable with ambiguity; takes initiative and seeks clarification when needed
  • Willingness to handle both strategic and administrative tasks as part of a high-functioning team

LOCATION AND COMPENSATION:

  • This role will be based in our New York, NY office or may be remote, working U.S. Eastern Time Zone hours
  • Hybrid/Remote arrangements can be discussed during the interview process
  • Base compensation is expected to be $85,000 - $100,000* with the opportunity for incentive/bonus compensation 
  • Salary may vary based on work experience, market conditions, location, and qualifications/training
