Bryant Miller Olive represents governments, business and organizations nationwide in a wide range of legal matters, policy initiatives and business needs. For more than 50 years, we have served the legal needs of the public sector with a special emphasis on public finance matters. Today, while we remain a recognized state and regional provider of public finance services, we have expanded to include business and civil litigation, labor and employment, business strategy, government consulting, traditional and renewable energy services, and much more.
The multi-office, multi-state law firm of Bryant Miller Olive seeks a talented Legal Assistant to help support the Public Finance/Municipal Bond practice group in our downtown Orlando office.
Responsibilities include word processing and editing lengthy and highly-complex documents in Microsoft Word; timely compilation of client closings, transcripts; filing IRS, UCC and Division of Bond Finance forms; assisting with RFPs; recording documents in various counties; copying, scanning and communicating with clients through telephone and e-mail; and other duties as needed.
Qualifications include strong word processing skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe; Excel and PowerPoint a plus; solid aptitude for numbers; the ability to work independently or in a team-environment; meticulous attention to detail; excellent proof-reading and editing skills; effective and personable communication skills;; the ability to prioritize and to multi-task work with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment; high energy level and motivation; a willingness to ask questions; and flexibility for overtime. Candidates with public finance or other types of transactional law experience will be given preference.
