Business Development Representative, Supplements (remote)

Position Summary
The Business Development Representative (BDR) for Digital Solutions – Supplements Focus is a critical member of the revenue team responsible for generating qualified pipeline across the U.S. supplements sector. This role combines outbound prospecting, market research, and cross-functional collaboration to identify and engage target accounts. You’ll operate as a hunter—driving outreach with creativity, strategy, and urgency to break into new logos and connect prospects with FoodChain ID’s solutions.
This is a remote position, open to candidates residing within the continental United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calling, video prospecting, email, and social channels
  • Own pipeline creation for the supplements vertical by targeting net new accounts
  • Partner with Strategic Account Executive to align prospecting strategy and account handoff
  • Identify key players, trends, and growth opportunities in the U.S. supplements industry
  • Collaborate with marketing to align outreach with campaigns, content, and messaging
  • Build and manage automated outreach cadences to drive engagement
  • Schedule meetings with decision-makers and secure discovery conversations
  • Support validation and routing of MQLs into the sales pipeline
  • Track campaign attribution and activity using Salesforce
  • Coordinate with Events team to book meetings before, during, and after key industry events
  • Meet or exceed weekly activity benchmarks and monthly pipeline contribution targets
  • Participate in ongoing sales training, product education, and industry learning

Competencies and Skills
  • Proven ability to drive outbound prospecting without relying on pre-qualified lists
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to spark curiosity
  • Resourceful in finding creative ways to break through noise and engage prospects
  • Collaborative team player who aligns with Marketing and Sales for shared goals
  • Comfortable with performance metrics and adapting strategy based on results
  • Interest in health & wellness, supplements, or nutraceuticals strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory, quality, or manufacturing trends in the supplements industry
  • Experience using sales engagement tools like Salesforce, Salesloft, or similar platforms
  • Self-starter mindset with strong follow-through and attention to detail

Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience in Business Development, Sales, or SDR role
  • Background in supplements, nutraceuticals, or adjacent industries preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales automation platforms
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must reside within the continental United States
  • Fluency in English required
