Job description

Where you’ll work:

  • This is a remote position (some travel may be required as needed). We will provide all equipment to do the necessary functionalities of the position. 

What you’ll do: 

The National Accounts Manager is responsible for building, maintaining, and growing relationships with key National Accounts. The NAM will leverage existing relationships within SRS Building Products and work closely with internal sales professionals and operational team members to match customer objectives with SRS Building Products.  With extreme focus on a specific set of defined National Accounts, the NAM will drive customer sales growth and retention year over year and position Heritage from being a supplier to an on­going Trusted advisor.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met.
  • Negotiate pricing contracts and special promotions.
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to set and implement strategies for new products.
  • Assume ownership of your territory, maintain a sense of urgency with a customer-centric focus, and be present at the customer’s operational level.
  • Attend SRS Building Products meetings, trade shows, industry association events and SRS and subsidiary brands' sponsored events.

What we look for:   

  • Travel within the territory is required.  50-75% of the work week will be spent on the road meeting with customers, territory manager, branch managers, and vendor partners.
     
  • Have a passion for being a business partner to our customer and give them the tools and products needed to increase their sales and earnings.
     
  • Requires a person who is a self-starter and has great organization and communication skills.
     
  • Have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation for travel in your territory.
     
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship for any length of time.
     
  • Able to pass required pre-employment criminal, driving background check and drug test.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Qualities that stir our souls (and make you stand out): 

  • College degree preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of experience in the building product material distribution industry
  • Experience with Agility operating software package
  • Demonstrated experience of leading a high performing sales team is a plus.
