Responsible for receiving inspection, management of our supply base, supplier quality tracking metrics, and supporting the manufacturing floor for supplier related quality issues. Work with suppliers and Harman personnel from PPAP to production support in preventing, resolving quality problems, continuous improvement activities.
What You Will Do
Responsible of plant quality assurance about incoming parts including mechanical, electonics, outsourced PCBA and pass-through parts at Thailand plant.
Lead supplier quality related problem solving by supplier management using multiple quailty tools, such as A3, 8D, DMN, CS, SQIP etc.
Train and coach SQA engineer
Responsible for optimize the IQC&Supplier DMN process.
Resposible of compliance of TS & customer request.
Through the utilization of data-driven measurements that are clear and effective, statistical metods and tracking measurements:
Drive supplier improvements in quality systems, processes and performance.
Drive corrective actions to reolve issues in a quick and timely manner.
Associate with plant PE/QE/Production about the root cause study by parts measurement and supplier investigation.
Perform supplier site audits to assess supplier’s processes or technical abilities when a manufacturing quality problem occurs.
Initiate supplier improvement plan or control shipping when supplier performance downgraded or severe problems occurs.
Responsible for cost recovery collection and communication to supplier for supplier related cost.
Participates in the project trial run stage and monitor component quality performance, to provide input for component PPAP approvals.
Component safe launch plan implementation and performance monitoring.
Responsible for improvement of procedures related to supplier quality management and education to reports or stakeholders of the procedures and changes.
What You Need to Be Successful
Education:Bachelor's degree required in Electronics engineering or equivalent.
Experience: At least 5 years related experience in automotive manufacturing in supplier quality engineering working with electro-mechanical and electrical components. Must have a thorough understanding of statistical methods, problem solving methodology, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and automotive quality management systems. Active participation in ISO/TS 16949 assessments. Direct experience with suppliers required.
Certifications: None required. ASQ, CQE and CQA preferred.
Travel: Minor travel required around China to support and audit suppliers.

Completes other related duties that correspond to the type of the position or become necessary as a result of company operations as assigned by the manager and supervisor.

Must be fluent in speaking and written Mandarin as well as skils with written and speaking english.

Capable of operating related and professional software, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
