B2R Finance is recruiting an underwriter to assist in managing and underwriting a sound portfolio of loans within the risk parameters of the Company. B2R has a true passion for the concept of building personal wealth through residential rental investing, and are committed to providing the best customer experience in the "buy to rent” industry. In 2015, B2R Finance produced the first ever multi-borrower single-family rental securitization in the industry with a $230M offering and was honored with 2015 CMBS Deal of the Year award. To date the Firm has funded more than $1 billion of investment real estate loans.
As a B2R Underwriter, you will be a part of a deal team, analyzing and underwriting commercial credit requests. Responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive analysis on all phases of the credit management cycle including the review of financial documentation, evaluations of new loan requests and collateral analysis.
Please review the following qualifications:
A range of 5 – 10+ years of experience within a banking institution managing and underwriting a portfolio of Residential or commercial real estate loans with a focus on CMBS lending, knowledge of mortgage banking practices, federal and state regulations, or a combination of the two.
Demonstrated ability to assess risks with experience presenting recommendations to senior management for approval.
Completion of a formal credit training program is strongly preferred.
Experience underwriting/analyzing residential and/or commercial mortgages, residential real-estate management, real-estate license or similar training strongly preferred.
Demonstrated problem solving ability as well as ability to contribute to improvement in process & procedures at a functional and cross-functional level.
Undergraduate/Bachelor's degree required.
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
