Job Summary

We’re looking for an experienced mechanical engineer who can independently own subassemblies and contribute to cross-functional projects. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building physical products that work reliably in the real world. There’s potential to grow into a lead role or specialize in analysis, manufacturing, or system-level integration.

Responsibilities and Duties

Designing mechanical components from concept to production
Building CAD models, drawings, and BOMs
Performing mechanical validation tests (e.g., fit, stress)
Coordinating with suppliers and internal teams
Collaborating with electrical and firmware engineers
Supporting field issues and iterative design improvements
Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and FMEAs
Ensuring designs meet quality, cost, and schedule goals

Qualifications and Skills

5+ years of design experience
Understanding of mechanical design principles and materials
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo)
Experience with DFM
Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
GD&T experience based on ISO or ASME
Experience with prototyping and lab tools
Strong work ethic and good written and verbal communication skills
Good written and spoken English

Nice to have

Documentation and release using PDM/PLM systems
FEA modeling (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus)
Thermal or vibration analysis experience
Manufacturing process knowledge (injection molding, CNC, sheet metal)
Experience with ISO/ASME/IPC standards
Hands-on experience with testing (stress, fatigue, thermal, etc.)
