Job description

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Operations it is the Marketing Project Manager’s responsibility to own planning, managing and executing projects across all marketing functions. This role will be responsible for ensuring marketing projects progress from beginning to end efficiently executed with positive results. This role will work closely with teams across the organization to define project scope and requirements and liaise between the many different moving parts and complexities of any given project, ensuring timeliness and focus. In addition to supporting our project management efforts, this leader will work with both direct and indirect reporting relationships to appropriately assign tasks and hold team members accountable. A successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skill and communication acumen, an ability to multitask while retaining attention to detail, and a strong strategic and organizational sense to ensure overlapping timelines and requirements do not hinder progress. 

 

Responsibilities: What You’ll Do

  1. Work closely with marketing leadership to understand the strategic marketing strategy and ensure project alignment with strategy.
  2. Maintain work management system and platform roadmap to drive ongoing expansion of features to support the team in efficient execution.
  3. Review incoming marketing requests, collect additional necessary information needed to approve or deny.
  4. Delegate tasks to marketing team members based on availability and ability to complete.
  5. Ensure clear communication across project working groups and hold Campaign/Project Owners accountable for communicating project changes in a timely manner. 
  6. Maintain a comprehensive marketing calendar by working closely with campaign owners to populate and shift initiatives as the business dictates.
  7. Manage all marketing projects to ensure scope, goals, and timeline are appropriately defined and resources are available. 
  8. Lead marketing team daily stand-up meetings to maintain accountability for all team members to deadlines.
  9. Manage the Change Management process for marketing and ensure compliance to process for requesting project changes.
  10. Maintain a risk and issues log for all projects and escalate, as needed, to the Project Owner and Executive Sponsor.
  11. Lead and develop the Marketing Operations Coordinator to continue to grow our project management bench strength. 
  12. Compile monthly and quarterly reports demonstrating success against project management KPIs and working with the team to improve area where KPIs may have declined. 
  13. Create Sprint Retropsectives every 2 weeks to inform the team of lessons learned and project outcomes.
  14. Manage a project backlog and prioritize projects for assignment to upcoming sprints.
  15. Regularly train the marketing team on project management best practices.
  16. Maintain a working knowledge of our industry and project management to help inform project selection and prioritization.

Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $67,200 - $84,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
