Backend Engineer - Multiplayer Server (m/f/x)

Design, develop, and deploy backend services for multiplayer games.
Uphold the standards in distributed system scalability & resilience.Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in a timely manner.
Mentor junior engineers Support a culture of technical creativity, innovation, and excellence.
Participate in code reviews Contribute to architectural discussions.

Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
Programming Language: Strong proficiency in Go.
Orchestration: Hands-on experience with containerized application deployment and Kubernetes (K8s) or Nomad.
Distributed System Design: Deep understanding and practical experience with distributed systems.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Bonus: Experience with cloud platforms and cloud native concepts (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).
Bonus: Familiarity with game development concepts and challenges.
Bonus: Understanding of game server containerization & hosting (Docker, ContainerD, etc…).
Bonus: A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
