Calgary based client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Reporting Specialist to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and experience with financial systems and reporting tools. The client, publicly traded, operates internationally in the E&P space and requires the individual to be in the office full-time, with flexibility for needing to work from home on occasion.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
Prepare documents required for a publicly traded company (IE F/S, MD&A, AIF, etc.)
Prepare accompanying working papers and assisting the external auditors as needed
Work on complex accounting areas (IE local accounting differences versus IFRS)
Work on ad-hoc projects as required (IE due diligence, operational reporting, system improvements)
Support the finance team by making strategic decisions by manipulating and analyzing data to create actionable insights
Analyze and reconcile discrepancies, providing any necessary recommend adjustments
Your strengths include:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and CPA designation is required
Experience in financial reporting, public accounting, or corporate finance.
Strong knowledge of IFRS.
