Job Summary:
PetPlace is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Product Management who will report to the Sr. Director of Product. This role is critical in defining and executing the product roadmap, translating business objectives and customer insights into actionable requirements, and driving execution in partnership with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with strategic vision and customer empathy. This person thrives in Agile environments, excels at stakeholder collaboration, and ensures that every product decision is grounded in user research and data.

Main Responsibilities:
- Requirements Development: Translate business goals, stakeholder input, and user research into clear, actionable product requirements and user stories.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and UX to gather needs, prioritize features, and ensure successful delivery.
- Product Roadmapping: Build and manage detailed roadmaps that balance strategic vision with short-term execution.
- User Research & Market Insights: Participate in customer interviews, testing sessions, and data analysis to validate product assumptions and inform prioritization.
- Agile Product Development: Operate within a scaled Agile framework, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups.
- Technical Understanding: Assess systems and architecture impacts to inform feasibility and integration needs without needing to code.
- Performance Tracking: Define and monitor key metrics to evaluate product success and iterate accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a technical product leadership role.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, integrations, and Agile product development methodologies.
- Proven ability to translate business objectives into detailed product requirements.
- Experience collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams to align product features with market needs.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and product analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in e-commerce, pet health, or insurance platforms.
- Exposure to scaled Agile (e.g., SAFe) environments.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data and metrics.
