As a Data Specialist, you will be responsible for rolling out our company’s territory plan and maintain accuracy of our Total Addressable Market (TAM) database. You must demonstrate strong attention to detail, awareness of interdependencies across multiple work streams, and curiosity to drive improvements in our territory planning process. We trust you to collaborate with others, form intelligent opinions, and present your thoughts to decision-makers.
Duties and responsibilities
Partner closely with Zoom’s Territory team to develop a deep understanding of the business, from its data and metrics, to its operational challenges and opportunities
Gather and consolidate TAM information from Zoom’s internal and 3rd party data sources
Maintain and improve accuracy of potential customer information on our addressable market database
Develop, optimize or overhaul new and existing business processes through system configurations or customizations
Coordinate with the broader GTM Analytics and Insights Team to create and design segment-specific territory scoring models
Establish key metrics and communicating project progress, solutions, and risks
Communicate findings, insights, challenges to stakeholders and leaders, both verbally and in writing
Minimum competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business Management, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field preferred
Experience in MS Excel required, familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, other Business Intelligence tools preferred
Familiarity with SaaS Enterprise systems and SaaS business operations, particularly Salesforce
Keen attention to detail
Ability to manage and influence cross-functional stakeholders (managers and above)
Strong business communication skills, both verbal and written
