Location: Washington, D.C. (Remote Eligible)
Security Clearance: Moderate Background Investigation (MBI)
Schedule: Due to the nature of law enforcement work and operation, position may require occasional support outside of core working hours, as well as intermittent weekend support, mission dependent.
Travel: Travel may be required.

Job Summary:
The CCTV Technology Coordinator provides technology expertise and analytical support services to the Postal Inspection Service. The coordinator will monitor and manage CCTV systems, providing remote support and coordinating repairs and installations with contractors and local Physical Security Specialists.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track the condition of CCTV (Closed Circuit TV) operations and perform or coordinate corrective actions.
- Monitor system error logs checks for faults and issues, to include:
- Video loss reports
- Camera communication failure
- Network/Switch communication failure
- Network Video Recorder (NVR)/Server communication failure Additional error notified by email or call from field
- Update device Firmware (as needed)
- Update application software (as needed)
- Enter IT ServiceNow ticket for networking issues
- Notify Physical Security Specialist (PSS) of need to enter Facilities Single Source Provider (FSSP) ticket for repair
- Maintain a shared Teams spreadsheet with all ISIP devices i.e., Cameras, NVR, and Server, with detailed information to include:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Media Access Control (MAC) address/ID
- Camera number and name
- Device Firmware
- Site name and address
- Server/NVR workstation name, size, and Operating Software (OS)
- Camera Count
- Remote Installation assistance
- Provide IP reservation for devices to be installed
- Ensure cameras are connected and are configured on Video Management System (VMS)
- Upload Camera location map to VMS
- Ensure Time and Date accuracy on cameras
- Recording functionality, to meet current USPIS retention policy
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 3-5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential function of the job.
- Ability to analyze data and interpret patterns and trends;
- Ability to communicate orally sufficient to make security-related presentations to various internal and external audiences.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing sufficient to prepare technical and non-technical reports.
- Knowledge of physical security concepts, principles, procedures, methods and practices to include intrusion prevention and detection, risk assessment tools, closed circuit television, and access control.
- Ability to understand and interpret building design/blueprints to determine consistency of contractual security requirements.
- Ability to maintain equipment inventories and research new security-related technology. Ability to analyze data and services and make appropriate recommendations to improve service/reduce cost.
- Experience with various security system platforms and related equipment including but not limited to, cameras and systems monitoring software.
- Knowledge of contracting procedures sufficient consistent with Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) responsibilities.

- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees. Standing for prolonged and extended periods of time.

- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
- Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
