DevOps Engineer 

Location: Onsite – Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance Required: Secret (Top Secret preferred)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct-hire

Pay: $90,000-96,000 - Full Benefits included 

Active DoD Secret Clearance Required


Job Summary

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting a mission-critical program. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipeline tools (including GitLab, Nexus, and Python) and executing configuration management, versioning, and automated deployments into lab environments. This position is onsite at our Colorado Springs, CO facility, with occasional travel required to alternate work locations.


Responsibilities
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the NES ART

  • Administer GitLab, including documentation and reporting

  • Support release and configuration management efforts

  • Execute data management using program tools (documentation, training, reporting)

  • Apply creative and technical solutions to complex DevOps challenges

  • Work under general direction with accountability for meeting objectives


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or equivalent experience/combined education)

  • 0–2+ years of professional experience, or a related Master’s degree with no experience

  • Must have or be able to obtain a DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) within 60 days of hire

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)

  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell

  • Experience with GitLab (branching, merging, repository management)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (especially PowerPoint and Visio)

  • Detail-oriented and able to follow established processes


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Familiarity with Ansible or other automation tools

  • Understanding of network engineering basics

  • Experience creating/updating SOPs or technical documentation

  • Familiarity with DoD environments and compliance requirements

  • Experience developing KPIs and generating reports


Certifications & Clearance
  • 8140/8570 Requirement: Must meet IAT Level II certification standards (e.g., Security+ CE)

  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred
