Job description

Tetrad Digital Integrity (TDI) is a leading-edge cybersecurity firm with a mission to safeguard and protect our customers from increasing threats and vulnerabilities in this digital age. We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support the US Postal Service in VA, MN or NC, remote to these states will also be considered to support a nationwide implementation of firewalls-validate, test and manage firewall rules.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is currently a manual process, moving forward AI needs to be engaged to analyze data to identify trends and patterns, providing insights that can inform policy development and decision-making for managing firewall rules, validation and testing. Additionally:
  • Review firewall rule sets and log analysis for inefficient, unapproved rules
  • Research problems and recommend solutions to improve security with the assistance of AI.  AI should be used to ensure regulatory compliance by using it to analyze large datasets to identify potential violations and track compliance efforts
  • Application of change control processes and tools to create a strategy for a project or initiative. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness provide input, document requirements and support the design.  Experienced with firewall operations, management processes and leading practices. Can review existing firewall rules for compliance, efficiency, and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computers or other IT, Security related major; or equivalent experience          of 11+ years’ in IT, data, or operational analysis, and/or security
  • Skilled Communicator – Facilitator. Able to engage and interact with all organizational/personnel levels.
  • Consult with other members of the project team and develop documentation
  • Demonstrable awareness of Splunk reporting and Admin knowledge in Windows, Unix, and Cisco.
  • Experience with network firewalls, routers, switches and rule configuration for Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet devices
  • Strong understanding of IPv6 and RFC 1918
  • Review firewall rule sets and log analysis for inefficient, unapproved rules
  • CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Sec+
