Job description

               
The Sales Manager will be responsible for engaging distributors with high-quality services and support to attain their loyalty, ensuring optimal distribution activities, and driving product placement at retail counters. This role involves supervising sales promoters, managing logistics, and maintaining competitive pricing through regular feedback from the market.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Distributor Engagement:
o Provide high-quality services and support to distributors to build loyalty and become their primary choice.
o Ensure optimal distribution activities from distributor partners.

2. Product Placement:
o Ensure meticulous placement of the product at retail counters with a beat plan.
o Develop strong relationships with retailers and their key staff.

3. Market Feedback:
o Collect regular feedback on competitors' pricing to maintain competitive store prices.
o Gather feedback, suggestions, and complaints from the market and present them to management for further action.

4. Payment and Communication:
o Handle payment collection from the channel.
o Communicate prices, discounts, and schemes to distributors and retailers in a timely manner.

5. Sales Team Support:
o Provide assistance to sales promoters and event executives as required.
o Supervise their activities and report on their effectiveness.

6. Logistics and Supervision:
o Ensure effective and efficient logistics.
o Motivate and supervise the sales team, including those involved in institutional sales.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience in sales management or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ability to motivate and supervise a sales team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Preferably a Master of Business Administration in Marketing, Sales and Business Development with at least 5 years of experience.
• At least 3 years of on-field work experience in the packaged rice/FMCG industry is a must.
• Should have a go-getter approach.
• Should have determination towards personal and organizational sales targets.
• Should be polite with a strong focus on the organization’s ethics and SOPs.
• Open to learning, understanding, and should be a team worker.
• Should be young, energetic, flexible, and have the ability to take the organization to new heights.
