Job description

Digital Media Coordinator, Display

A career that makes a difference!

RKD Group, a direct response marketing and advertising agency, is seeking a Coordinator, Display Media to achieve breakthrough results that make a positive impact in this world. By joining our team, you become an integral part of that mission. With our headquarters located in Dallas, Texas, RKD Group is a remote-first company that has helped hundreds of nonprofits raise billions of dollars to fulfill their missions.

The Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for the launch and monitoring the success of client Display, Video, Native, Digital Radio, and ConnectedTV campaigns.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

Display Campaign Management

New campaigns begin at the request of the Client Service team, delivered through Asana. A new launch includes:

  • Compiling assets for launch by a display vendor or internal launch through RKD’s DSP.
  • Reviewing conversion tracking configuration before launch to ensure successful retargeting efforts and conversion measurement.   This may also include collaboration with other members of the Media team to ensure that tracking is standard across all channels.

Working with Vendors

RKD Group works with several vendors and partners. The Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for communicating and project management with display vendors. This includes:

  • Submitting insertion orders for campaign launch
  • Reviewing campaign performance
  • Requesting reports

Campaign Builds with the DSP

For campaigns run through RKD’s DSP, the Digital Media Coordinator will be responsible for building audiences and uploading targeting data, geotargeting locations, keywords, and creative.  The Digital Media Coordinator will then use these pieces to assemble the campaign, according to the direction received from the Client Service team within Asana.

Build Placement Tags

RKD uses Campaign Manager to create placement tags for some of our clients.  The Digital Media Coordinator will be responsible for working with the Digital Media Associate, along with other members of the Digital Media Display team, in order to accurately build a tagging document, name and upload creative, build tags, and export them so that they can be sent to a vendor.

Campaign Optimizations

The Digital Media Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring campaign performance for all of their designated campaigns.  This will involve reviewing reports and communicating to vendors or making campaign adjustments to improve performance within the DSP.

Conversion Tracking

RKD uses Google Tag Manager for the installation and firing of conversion tags across channels. The Technical team will install Google Tag Manager tags using the instructions provided by the Digital Media Coordinator.  Once a tag is installed, it is the responsibility of the Digital Media Coordinator to either check within platform or with the vendor to ensure that data is flowing back to the platform correctly.  The Digital Media Coordinator will also be responsible for monitoring campaigns to ensure that conversion tracking continues to function as expected.

Reporting

Creating client facing reports on campaign performance is done periodically for each client, typically monthly.  Most reports are created in Excel spreadsheets, therefore, the Digital Media Coordinator needs to be familiar with the basic functions of Excel. The Coordinator is responsible for compiling data from multiple sources and platforms and ensuring that the data and formulas within the Excel spreadsheet are accurate.  The Digital Media Coordinator may also be asked to provide insights into campaign performance and optimizations made throughout the course of the campaign.

Miscellaneous

The Digital Media Coordinator may also be asked to perform various administrative tasks, such as entering timesheets and assisting with processing vendor invoices.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1-2 years’ experience preferred, which may include internships.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
