GitGuardian is a global post-Series B cybersecurity scale-up.
Among our early investors who saw our market value proposition, are the co-founder of GitHub, Scott Chacon, along with Solomon Hykes, Docker's co-founder. American and European top-tier VC firms have also invested in GitGuardian.
GitGuardian leads the way in Non-Human Identity security, offering end-to-end solutions from secrets detection in code, productivity tools and environments to strong remediation, observability and proactive prevention of leaks. Our solutions are already used by more than 600K developers worldwide!
Our typical customers are companies with hundreds to thousands of developers that are leveraging hundreds of services like SaaS applications, cloud infrastructures, or internal microservices and are mature on DevOps and cloud adoption.
Our products are used by different teams: Software Development and Ops teams, Application Security, Threat Response and the buying decision comes from CISOs / CTOs / Directors of Security.
We are seeking a proactive, driven, and methodical Account Manager to play a key role in our client journey. You will work with mostly Enterprise clients, from diverse industries, and across global markets though mostly in North America, some in Europe. You will collaborate closely with teams in France and the USA, including Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, Product Managers, and others.
Your mission will be to:
- Field all expansion opportunities and renewal processes for your portfolio, working closely with your partners on the CSM team to understand potential new value areas.
- Present and sell our products and services to your accounts, including facilitating demos and running presentations with C-level executives.
- Leverage our marketing efforts to create a compelling value proposition with insights into how your respective accounts can maximize their relationship with GitGuardian.
- Collaborate with adjoining teams to strategize on your sales approach.
- Update and maintain client activity details in our CRM for accurate forecasting and leadership’s visibility.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our competitive landscape and your customer’s needs.
- Travel to (key) client accounts and some external events as appropriate (we anticipate approximately 35-50% travel)
- Deliver accurate and timely sales forecasts and management reporting using Hubspot, Tableau as well as Gong, Apollo.io.
Your success is tied to our customers’ success. We don’t see Account Managers as people who show up just before the contract ends. By nurturing your customers, you’ll help them achieve their desired outcomes and by being present through the client’s GitGuardian journey, renewals / upsells / cross-sells will naturally follow. You see each interaction with your customers as an opportunity to help them, gain their trust and understand their needs.
Here's what we consider essential for success in this role:
- Technical understanding: experience having sold software to Cybersecurity, Dev or DevOps teams.
- A minimum of 4 years experience with very complex sales cycles: at least 3-6 months duration, multiple stakeholders and multithreading needed.
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and project management skills: ability to organize yourself to anticipate renewals, to work with internal partners (channel sales, CSM, AEs, …)
- Analytical skills: you have shown capacity to study the features usage of your customers and make recommendations for improvements.
