3-5 years of experience with IBM Cognos Analytics v11 and higher for report writing., Experience in building and maintaining Cognos Framework Manager models and Transformer PowerCubes v8., Good understanding of SQL and MDX syntax, along with Cognos server configuration., Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment..

Key responsibilities:

Lead the annual Client Year-End project, making necessary changes to Cognos packages and cubes.

Build and maintain reports and data models using IBM Cognos tools.

Monitor and configure Cognos server capabilities, roles, and permissions.

Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met.

The skill requirements as I see them are below with the big three being on top:

3-5 years of hands on experience writing reports with IBM Cognos Analytics v11 (report studio) and higher
3-5 years of hands on experience building and maintaining IBM Cognos Analytics Framework Manager models
3-5 years of hands on experience building and maintaining Transformer PowerCubes v8 models
Experience with MotioCI tools is a plus
Experience converting framework models from CQM to DQM is a plus
Experience with Cognos software upgrades is a plus
Experience working with Teradata is a plus
Good understanding of Cognos server configuration (capabilities, roles, permissions, job monitoring, data source setup, etc.)
Good working knowledge SQL and MDX syntax as used in report studio
Good pattern recognition skills
Good communication and writing skills
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Flexible to working in different environments / various locations on campus

The main task is the annual Client YE project and making changes to the Cognos packages and cubes (data models) where needed.
