Minimum of 6 years of experience in Software Development of Geographical Information Systems., Proficient in ESRI products and ArcGIS, with strong skills in Python, Java, and/or arcade scripting., Experience with ESRI Utility Network and FME for data extraction, loading, and transformation., Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geospatial Science is preferred..

Key responsibilities:

Provide technical direction for design, development, and systems integration from definition to implementation.

Design, develop, and deliver geospatially enabled operations research applications.

Ensure compliance with Energy Company operational, architectural, and design standards.

Manage technical risks and oversee technology throughout various projects.

Job description

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated 100% Remote Lead GIS Developer to support a high end and Fortune 500 client. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 6 years or recent experience in Software Development of Geographical Information Systems.
Specific experience utilizing ESRI products and ArcGIS
Python, Java, and/or arcade scripting is a must have
Experience working with ESRI Utility Network
FME experience for extracting, loading, and transforming data

Desired:

AWS experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geospatial Science

Responsibilities:

Provides technical direction for the design, development, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation
Ability to design, develop, and deliver operations research applications (databases, websites, tools, and products) that are geospatially enabled to support a multitude of solutions
Ensures system, technical & product architecture is compliant with and adheres to all Energy Company operational, architectural, and design standards and principles
Owns technology oversight and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout various projects
