Job description

Expired on: Nov 30, 2023

Do you dream about learning the secrets to crafting viral, contagious and elegant prose or breathtaking tutorials? Do you genuinely love spinning WordPress content into masterpieces? If yes, keep reading!

I’m seeking a passionate technical web (mostly centering around WordPress) content writer to join my content kingdom on a 3-month adventure (we’ll affectionately call “probation”). Upon successful completion, you’ll get the opportunity to work for my agency permanently as a WordPress Technical Content Writer.

You’ll receive my hands-on training to summon your inner writing warlock around WordPress plugins, themes, hostings and a few more trending technology-related topics.

Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in conquering the WordPress technical writing world.
  • Maintaining flow (I repeat, ‘Flow’) while writing and taking meaningful screenshots or screen recording.
  • The urge to defeat all other existing WordPress blog posts in terms of creating unique values.
  • The passion to educate people and disseminate knowledge.
  • The ability to create reader personas or to put yourself in the reader’s shoes.
  • Eagerly willing to master incantations from my style guide (no less than a strict Bible-like) verses.
  • Ability to research perplexing topics and craft spellbinding content using proper copyright-free images, quotes and data (in the form of graphs, charts, tables etc.) from reliable sources.
  • English skills so flawless, Grammarly or any other AI writing tools yield to and bow in defeat.
  • 100% original and human generated content pieces (plagiarists and AI partisans shall not pass)!
  • Experience in testing WordPress plugins, themes or any other tools faster (than Gandalf can say, “You shall not pass!”).
  • Receptive to multiple feedbacks (not taking them personally, but rather taking them as ways to become one of the best influencers) and determined to level up skills.
  • Meeting deadlines (with the urgency of Frodo dunking the ring).
  • Using conversational tone better than most North American native speakers.
  • You may have to write 15,000 to 20,000 words a month.
Rewards and benefits
  • Knowledge and wisdom from an experienced content wizard who served worldwide (yours truly).
  • Remote adventures on a flexible schedule.
  • 1,300 gold coins (BDT) per 1,000 words during your 3-month trial.
  • Potential raise to 1,800-2,500 gold coins (BDT) per 1,000 words upon a successful graduation. However, the propellant may thrust the increments even harder than SpaceX’s Falcon 9.1.1 or later with the agency’s exponential growth. There’ll never be an instance of underpayments when the agency grows big in the international arena (rest assured!). Increments are practically endless here!

If you meet the sacred requirements, why not give a shot at getting an apprentice under my supervision?

Apply now by submitting your CV and including three samples of your work history (the three best WordPress technical content pieces you take pride in) in the cover letter. Let the journey begin!

P.S. Please take a look at the featured image (depicting real-life improvement suggestions from one of my teammates) below. You can’t get away with fluffy words or filler content that brings no value. Unfortunately, I can watch every pixel of what you write or even the ones that you don’t. You’re welcome not to apply if you can’t face the music of editorial suggestions down the line – poof!
