Job Title: IBS02I Associate Director IT, Business Solutions Analyst
The Associate Director IT, Business Solutions Analysis will have the responsibility to define and execute UBC’s product strategy, leading a team of technical business analysts, and driving innovation to deliver products that meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.
Specific job duties:
- Supervise, mentor, and empower a team of Technical Business Analysts, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices and the ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to facilitate learning and adoption of Agile practices.
- Experience in coaching teams and individuals to enhance Agile mindset and practices.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear performance objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define departmental goals and objectives.
- Align product initiatives with business goals and market opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that align with organizational objectives.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
- Monitor progress, track key performance indicators, and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and values.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices and recommend process enhancements.
- Create an Interview Playbook to assist in acquiring talent.
- Create a Training Playbook for Staff to assist once on boarding is completed.
- Perform other related activities as needed.
Supervisory Responsibility:
10 – 15 Direct or Indirect Reports
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5- 8 years’ experience within a regulated industry (e.g., pharma, medical device) or a Master’s degree in Computer Science with 5-8 years’ experience within a regulated industry.
- Preferred requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science with at least 5-8 years’ experience within Product Management within a regulated pharma and/or medical device industry.
- 5-8 years of experience in product management or business analysis, with a track record of successfully bringing products to market.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to define and execute product strategy.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset.
- Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.
- Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus.
