Project Manager - Energy and Climate Equity

Help drive change! ECLARO is looking for a Project Manager - Energy and Climate Equity for our client in Remote, NY.

Position Overview:
  • Training will be available on:
    • Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
    • Client self-service operations and procedures Knowledge Base (Confluence)
    • Client's contracts and financial records system (PeopleSoft - NEIS)

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with key colleagues among key environmental justice stakeholders and Client's program teams.
  • Organize and co-facilitate initiative related webinars, monthly meetings, committees and working groups, and effectively keep track of meeting actions and commitments of team members.
  • Work with Client program teams to advance disadvantaged community stakeholder engagement in the planning of new initiatives and when updating existing initiatives using Client's Disadvantaged Community Stakeholder Pool.
  • Assist with project contracting and project close-out processes and provide support with workflow in Client's contract management systems., i.e., Salesforce and PeopleSoft.
  • Provide general support to Project Managers who are overseeing solicitations and other competitive selection methods (scheduling scoring meetings, notes, etc.).
  • Participate in internal team meetings and relevant community stakeholder meetings, as required for cross-team collaboration.
  • Assist Project Managers and Team Leads with ad-hoc requests to support Regional Clean Energy Hubs and Disadvantaged Community Services Stakeholder Pool.
  • Other duties assigned contribute to the key outcomes of the Energy and Climate Equity team.

Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of environmental justice and energy affordability concepts, terms, principles and practices.
  • Ability to conduct, with limited supervision, research on clean energy policy innovation and deployment of distributed clean energy technologies.
  • Solid writing skills and ability to concretely synthesize and translate technical information for multiple audiences, including industry stakeholders and the general public.
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn business communications and reporting. and
  • Humility, active listening, and ability to come up to speed and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid research and critical thinking skills related to understanding the limitations and applications of clean energy policy, regulatory, technology and program best practices and models in the context of limited resource and disadvantaged communities.
  • Basic knowledge of how to assess and be responsive to community needs.
  • Ability to identify barriers to clean energy access along with potential solutions.
  • Basic meeting coordination and community engagement skills to receive input through interviews, focus groups, surveys, etc..
  • Knowledge of low- to-moderate income and environmental justice federal, state, and local policy and governmental programs related to environmental justice, clean energy, and infrastructure
  • IT systems that will be used: Required systems experience: Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Acrobat Pro

Pay Rate: $35 - $40 / Hour
