The Relationship Manager is responsible for owning and developing partnerships and supplier relationships across the business, with a focus on maximising commercial performance and ensuring a best-in-class customer and partner experience. This role is pivotal in aligning the needs of our partners and independent suppliers with the company’s trading objectives, while proactively identifying opportunities for mutual growth and success. Acting as a key point of contact and advocate both internally and externally, this role ensures seamless communication, enhanced integration, and continuous performance optimisation.
Reporting to;
Senior Relationship Manager (Partner/Supply)
Main Accountabilities & Key Tasks:
Relationship Management;
Act as the primary day-to-day contact for all partners and independent suppliers.
Build, manage, and maximise effective, professional, and trust-based relationships.
Travel to partner and supplier locations and attend industry events as required.
Represent external partners internally to ensure their voice is heard and acted upon.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure objectives are communicated, supported and delivered in-line with overall strategy.
Support the Senior Relationship Manager across partner accounts.
Commercial and Operational Performance;
Deliver regular performance reports, insights, and opportunity analyses to travel and supply partners and the wider business.
Collaborate with Trading Squads and the Supply Team to equip them with relevant partner data and context.
Support partners and suppliers with pricing and supply decisions that optimise profitability and growth.
Manage partner and supplier renewals and negotiate optimal rebate and commercial structures.
Support Senior Relationship Manager on key travel and supply partner accounts and ensure that all content and products are loaded and displayed accurately.
Strategic Development;
Build and deliver joint opportunity roadmaps and integration plans with partners and suppliers.
Identify and upsell enhanced or incremental solutions to drive improved commercial outcomes.
Ensure optimal content, availability, and rates across all car rental offerings.
Support content quality and competitiveness in collaboration with CDQ and Supply Content teams.
Customer and Market Insight;
Help suppliers and partners understand market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behaviour.
Provide actionable insights to enhance customer experience and commercial performance.
Monitor and analyse financial, trading, and profitability metrics.
Project and Stakeholder Collaboration;
Contribute to cross-functional projects to implement supply and partnership best practices.
Collaborate across Trading, Supply, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align business goals.
Triage and resolve partner or supplier issues quickly and efficiently.
Knowledge and experience:
3-4+ years of relevant experience in account management, partnerships, or supply relationship roles.
Experience in the travel, automotive, or car rental sectors preferred but not essential.
Proven relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse financial and trading performance.
Demonstrated success in negotiation and commercial contract management.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – able to simplify complex ideas.
Highly self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills with a background in data interpretation and performance reporting.
Collaborative team player with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
Experience working cross-functionally with international teams, particularly a centralised head office, including occasional flexibility to work outside standard Australian hours for meetings and collaboration.
