Job Title: Service Solution Consultant

THE ROLE:
Oracle Customer Success Services (CSS) is a services business unit within Oracle that establishes long-term enhanced support and managed service relationships with many of Oracle's largest customers.
CSS Service Solution Consultants (SSCs) are experienced presales resources in CSS’s extensive portfolio of services, covering enhanced support, technical advisory, security and managed services. SSCs bring domain specialism’s providing solutioning management support to the Field Service Solution Architect (SSA) Team.
CSS SSCs have responsibility for supporting SSAs in building service solution propositions. They collaborate closely with CCS SSAs, Sales, Customers and CSS Engineers during the Sales Cycle. Interacting at various levels and using their experience of Applications operations to build relevant service propositions.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES:
Build and co-ordinate service proposals, RFX responses and presentations for standard portfolio services with CSS Sales and CSS Service Solution Architects
Support the CSS Service Solution Architects with complex and large-scale solutions
Support costing/quoting, pricing and contracting associated with specific opportunities and ensure that service solutions proposed are appropriate
Work alongside the CSS Sales Team and directly interaction with the customer and Oracle cross-line-of business (xLoB)
Work with CSS delivery throughout the sales cycle to ensure a smooth transition from sales to delivery
Contribute to ongoing innovation of professional practice to achieve efficiencies in workflows and processes, including building and maintaining a library of standard services solution proposal and RFx content and service solutioning templates
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
This role is ideal for candidates with experience of functional and technical aspects of implementating, running and operating Oracle Applications Unlimited or Oracle SaaS covering Routine Maintenance, Upgrades, Release Management, Continuous Improvement, Change Management and Testing from a techno/functional perspective along with Project Management experience.
It is an ideal entry point for a functional architect/consultant/project manager who wishes to enter a Sales Consultancy role
A typical experience profile for successful individuals in this role would include most of the following:
An Oracle Functional Consultant/ Architect
An Oracle Functional Project Manager
Industry experience in running Oracle SaaS/Applications Unlimited programs
Oracle applications/SaaS Security setup and design
Experience in best practice when extending and integrating Oracle SaaS/Applications Unlimited programs
Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, including but not limited to Oracle
Proven ability to construct and deliver compelling presentations and propositions audiences
Experience in industry standard best practice in service management (ITIL, DevOps etc) and project management
Excellent communication, written, collaboration and language skills
Strong working experience of Microsoft Office suite
