Heartbeat Health is seeking a board-certified Director of Prevention & Cardiologist to join our virtual clinic!

About the Role
  • This is a cardiologist role with administrative/leadership responsibilities described below; 

  • Engage in virtual non-invasive cardiac services including virtual visits, eConsults, diagnostic interpretation (echo, ECG, ECG monitors), providing best-in-class cardiovascular care
  • Lead the clinical strategy and oversight for a large, nationwide telehealth-based prevention program focused on early coronary artery disease.
  • Direct the implementation of clinical protocols for risk factor modification, including lipid-lowering therapies, blood pressure management, lifestyle interventions, and guideline-directed care.
  • Serve as the clinical lead for a major clinical trial focused on preventive cardiology, working closely with academic and industry partners.
  • Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and medical assistants delivering telehealth care at scale.
  • Ensure clinical excellence and consistency in care delivery, including medication initiation and titration, lab interpretation, and patient education.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and research teams to develop and refine digital tools, EMR pathways, and remote monitoring workflows.
  • Review and approve clinical documentation, order sets, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with national guidelines (e.g., ACC/AHA, NLA).Monitor clinical quality, safety, and outcomes, using data to drive improvements in care delivery and patient engagement.
  • Contribute to the scientific output of the program through authorship of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts.
  • Represent Heartbeat Health as a thought leader in preventive cardiology at conferences, partner meetings, and academic forums.
  • Provide strategic input into growth opportunities and expansion of preventive care services

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Echocardiography
  • Licensed in multiple states
  • Active DEA license
  • Proficiency in ECGs, ECG monitors, echoes, stress testing
  • Proficiency in vascular study interpretation is helpful but not required for this role
