Job description

Let's talk about what you'll do:
As the Sales Operations Manager at Jellyfish, you will play a critical role in empowering our sales team and driving operational excellence. This Boston-based role offers a flexible work-from-home policy, with the expectation of being in our Boston office a few days per week for in-person collaboration. You’ll leverage your expertise in Salesforce and sales analytics to streamline processes, manage our sales tech stack, and provide insights that influence strategy. If you are a strategic, detail-oriented operations expert who thrives in a data-driven, fast-paced environment, we want to meet you!

  • Deal Desk Support: Help to manage the deal desk process by reviewing and approving quotes and deal structures. Serve as the point of intake for special pricing or non-standard deals, ensuring compliance with internal policies while helping the sales team close deals efficiently. Provide guidance on deal structure and work with Finance or Legal as needed to accelerate deal closure.

  • Bookings intake: Act as the gatekeeper of contracts, ensuring that all orders perfectly match CRM data and make their way to Finance for revenue recognition and invoicing. Participate in the end of month deal review and bookings review process.

  • Salesforce Administration: Serve as the primary Salesforce admin for our Go-to-Market team. Build and optimize advanced Flows, utilize tools like Roll-Up Helper, and troubleshoot platform issues (e.g. Salesforce governor limits, timeouts) to ensure our CRM is scalable and reliable. Manage custom objects and validation rules. Oversee cross-system integrations to keep data flowing seamlessly across our tech stack.

  • Sales Tech Stack Ownership: Participate in the operation and iteration of our sales technology tools. Maintain systems such as Outreach, Clay.com, Tableau, Zapier, and other modern sales tech. Continuously evaluate and implement new tools or improvements to enhance team productivity and efficiency.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Build and maintain insightful Tableau and Salesforce dashboards and reports that give sales leaders visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and overall go-to-market performance. Proactively analyze data to spot trends and provide recommendations to improve our sales process and forecasting accuracy.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise directly with sales leadership and other stakeholders to gather requirements and pain points. Translate high-level requests into detailed user stories and prioritize a backlog of Sales Ops projects. Champion these projects across multiple teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to drive alignment and successful execution of process improvements.

Let’s talk about what you need to excel:

  • Salesforce Expertise: Strong Salesforce administration skills, including designing complex Flows and automation. Experience with Salesforce add-ons like Roll-Up Helper and the ability to troubleshoot CRM platform errors (e.g. governor limits, timeouts). Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with other systems (marketing automation, billing, etc.).

  • Tech Stack Management: Demonstrated experience administering a sales tech stack – provisioning/deprovisioning users and maintaining tools such as sales engagement platforms (e.g. Outreach), data enrichment tools (e.g. ZoomInfo or Clay.com), analytics/BI tools (Tableau), automation tools (Zapier), and productivity suites (Google Sheets).

  • Analytics & Reporting: Proven ability to build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization (Tableau) and spreadsheet analysis (Google Sheets) to interpret sales metrics and drive data-driven decisions.

  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with sales leaders and cross-functional teams. Experience gathering business requirements, writing user stories or project plans, and prioritizing work to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to lead meetings (e.g. forecast calls, QBRs) and present data insights to senior leadership in a clear, actionable way.

  • Detail-Oriented & Proactive: A proactive, analytical mindset with acute attention to detail. You anticipate pipeline health issues, identify conversion rate trends, and take initiative to address challenges before they become problems. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and driving projects with minimal oversight.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. A technical background in engineering or computer science is a plus (helps in understanding technical integrations and advanced tooling).

Bonus Points: Experience leading sales forecast meetings or data-driven business reviews. Any Salesforce Administrator certifications or relevant credentials. A passion for optimizing go-to-market performance through automation and process improvement. Ability to read and write code is a plus (Javascript, Python, Apex).

A list of job experiences and qualification requirements is great, but humility, a performance-driven attitude, and a team-player approach are most important to us. We love to have fun and win in the process. We only hire people who have a passion for building great companies in an environment where a sense of humor is a must.

Occasional travel may be required.

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
