Job description

About the Role: We are looking for a Field Sales Representative (f/m/d) to join our Gore Surgical Solutions team in the North East/East Yorkshire area. In this role you will have strong commercial skills enabling you to present and negotiate effectively to a wide variety of people, as well as selling and promoting products and developing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders. The ideal candidate brings experience as a Field Sales representative, preferably with a Hernia / Bariatric / General Surgery background, and is passionate about clinical sales and making a difference in healthcare.

This is a remote position, and you can work from your home office in most locations within the North East/East Yorkshire area in England.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership for maximizing sales and ensuring market penetration with the existing business
  • Provide clinical product education and training, as well as regular involvement in the Operating Room
  • Actively pursue new customers and developing new opportunities
  • Maintain and build strong relationships across our customer base
  • Gain recognition as a go-to person at Gore and as a product expert
  • Introduce new products and support local marketing initiatives


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in medical device sales, preferably with a medical engineering or clinical background in the Hernia and Bariatric environment
  • Ideally degree educated in a science, technical or clinical discipline
  • Possess extensive commercial skills; proactive, self-motivated and well organized
  • Flexible work ethic, reacting to customer requirements, specifically regarding case management
  • A team-player, naturally interacting with other associates across Europe on a regular basis
  • The role requires a willingness to undertake extensive travel within the UK, also internationally, to sales meetings, congresses and for training; easy access to an international airport within the territory is therefore essential


Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA or Biomedical Sciences studies will be highly considered
  • A previous experience in selling medical devices for the treatment of Hernias
