Watchmaker is inviting applications for the full-time position of Regional Business Manager with strong technical background in next-generation sequencing. We are seeking an applicant to be preferably based near the Paris metropolitan area, close to an international airport.
This position reports to the Commercial Director - EMEA and will be responsible for driving the commercial growth across Watchmaker’s genomics product portfolio, with a specific focus on NGS library prep solutions. You will be accountable for developing territory sales plans, accurate revenue forecasts throughout the fiscal year, enabling the SLT team to monitor business performance and drive decision making.

Position Summary
As the Regional Business Manager, you will be responsible for delivering revenue and driving growth in France, the French speaking part of Switzerland and Belgium. You are accountable for delivering accurate revenue forecasts, enabling the leadership team to monitor business performance and drive decision making. You are required to keep a good understanding of the competitive landscape, develop strong commercial partnerships within key accounts and provide voice-of-customer across research and development, marketing and technical support.
Responsibilities
Required Qualifications and Experience
Educated to BSc or higher in the field of molecular biology, biochemistry or a related discipline, with relevant sales experience selling next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and other advanced genomics applications into high-throughput clinical sequencing labs, research hospitals, familiar with Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs), IVD Kits, or other B2C scenarios. Broad technical knowledge of DNA- and RNA-modifying enzymes and experience in selling in B2B accounts is advantageous.
Resilient, tenacious with strong negotiation skills within the scientific market, you have a strong track record in delivering sales revenue in key accounts. You have a positive approach with a can-do attitude, great communicator and a high level of self-motivation.

Education Requirements
BSc or above with minimum 5 years genomics industry experience selling into commercial accounts.
