  • Schedule new and existing clients while managing their care needs.
  • Communicate with clients, family members, and the admin team regarding care and scheduling.
  • Document and update all schedule changes, requests, and incidents in the call log.
  • Evaluate caregivers and manage their performance, including training and disciplinary actions.

Job description

  • *Scheduling new and existing clients
  • *Communicating with clients and/or their authorized family members, caregivers, affiliated institutions such as Veterans Affairs (known as the VA) and PACE, and the admin team including RNs
  • *Management of client care needs
  • *"Cleaning shifts" for invoicing and payroll, including reading care notes and ensuring task lists are properly completed
  • *Management of caregivers which may include teaching and reminding staff of policies and procedures, advising, disciplinary actions, and submitting worker's compensation forms
  • *Documenting and updating the call log on all schedule changes and requests, recording pertinent conversations, approving/declining time off requests, changes to client status and care needs, changes to caregiver availability, incidents, evaluations, and interruptions of services (such as a hospital stay)
  • *Caregiver evaluations and pay rate increases

Requirements

Hard and soft skills:

The scheduler will need to have a working knowledge of the following software as well as be able and willing to adapt and learn if the software changes: Axiscare - scheduling and chat communication software. Vonage - communication software, text, voice, admin group chats and voicemails.. Viventium payroll processing and paid/unpaid time off request software. Google C suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive etc.) We update and use an availability spreadsheet in Google Sheets Gmail- email, and access to C suite
