This is a remote based position.

We are seeking a driven Business Development Executive to lead sales and strategic partnerships in the medical meals sector . This role will focus on selling meal solutions to medical ly tailored meal programs, longevity-focused wellness companies , corporate health initiatives, and specialty food brands that serve health-conscious consumers . The ideal candidate will have a hunter mentality, with experience in food, healthcare, wellness, or nutrition-driven consumer brands. They should be skilled in identifying market opportunities, developing partnerships, and driving sales in a rapidly growing industry focused on functional nutrition and preventative health.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify and pursue opportunities with medica l l y tailored meal programs, wellness brands, concierge medicine programs, and longevity-focused nutrition companies .
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to expand FreshRealm’s presence in the functional food and medical meal space .
  • Build relationships with C-suite executives, nutrition program leaders, product developers, and food buyers in the medical and wellness industry.

Sales & Contracting

  • Lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pitching to closing deals and managing accounts.
  • Develop and draft compelling proposals that highlight the company’s qualifications, product quality, pricing structure, and ability to fulfill requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams (operations, logistics , finance, and compliance) to ensure bid accuracy and feasibility.

Industry & Market Expertise

  • Stay ahead of trends in functional nutrition, longevity science, corporate wellness, and medically aligned diets .
  • Understand key consumer segments (aging population, chronic disease management, performance-focused nutrition, etc.) and tailor offerings to meet market needs .

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the food, health, or wellness industry.
  • Industry Expertise: Background in meal delivery, medical meals, functional nutrition, or wellness-based food programs preferred.
  • Strong Negotiation & Sales Skills – Ability to develop, present, and sell customized meal programs to executives and brand leaders.
  • Strategic Relationship Building – Ability to develop partnerships with health-focused brands, corporate wellness programs, and private healthcare initiatives .
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business , Nutrition, Food Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
