Job description

This is a remote position.

Virtual Rockstar is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented full-time Medical Biller to join our client’s growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate billing processes and supporting the administrative needs of our client’s clinic. Responsibilities:

  • Therapy Billing: Process and submit claims to insurance providers for therapy services.

  • Therapist Credentialing: Manage and maintain therapist credentials in compliance with insurance regulations.

  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations for procedures.

  • Patient Chart Maintenance: Ensure patient charts are accurately maintained with up-to-date insurance information and documentation.

  • Claims Management: Follow up on unpaid claims, track the status of pending claims, and resolve billing discrepancies.

  • Patient Insurance Queries: Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and explain insurance benefits.

  • Denied Claims Appeals: Review and appeal denied claims to ensure proper reimbursement.

  • Compliance: Ensure billing and coding compliance with all applicable regulations.

  • Reports & Invoices: Generate billing reports for management, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate electronic medical records.



Requirements
  • Experience with therapy billing and insurance verification preferred.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Fusion Web Clinic (EMR), Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to work with patients and insurance providers.

  • Prior experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration is preferred.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in data entry and generating basic reports.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in managing and resolving insurance-related issues.
