Reports to: Practice Manager, Cyber Risk and Assurance

 


Job Overview:

The Resourcing Specialist will play a key role in supporting capacity planning, resource management, project allocation, and management information reporting. This position requires close collaboration with the Practice Manager, the Consulting Team, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective utilization of resources, support project planning, and provide insights through forecasting and reporting. The role is essential for helping the department maintain efficiency and successfully meet project deadlines while staying compliant with regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capacity Planning & Resource Management:
    Assist in the development and execution of capacity planning strategies. Collaborate with the Practice Manager to evaluate workload demands, optimize the allocation of team resources, and ensure that resources are deployed efficiently across ongoing projects.
  • Project Allocation & Management:
    Work closely with the Practice Manager to manage and assign resources to compliance projects based on priority, deadlines, and the expertise of team members. Ensure that project timelines are adhered to and identify any risks related to resource shortages or over-allocation.
  • Utilization & Forecast Reporting:
    Create and maintain detailed reports on resource utilization to track performance and optimize productivity. Provide forecasting insights by analyzing current and upcoming project requirements to predict future capacity needs and to make informed decisions about resourcing.
  • Support Project Planning:
    Assist the Practice Manager in the strategic planning of compliance projects, ensuring that resource needs are accurately forecasted and that timelines are realistic. Support the development of project roadmaps and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    Produce detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on project status, resource utilization, and capacity forecasts. Analyze data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Administrative Support:
    Provide administrative and logistical support to the Practice Manager by coordinating meetings, tracking project progress, and assisting in any other relevant activities that contribute to the smooth running of the Payments Compliance department.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in resource management, capacity planning, or project coordination, preferably within a cyber risk and compliance environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting. Proficiency in using tools such as Excel or similar reporting software is required, also ideally proficiently experienced with Wrike or similar scheduling applications.
  • Experience in resource allocation and project planning methodologies, with the ability to manage multiple projects and resources simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact and collaborate with team members and leadership at various levels.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to proactively identify issues and offer solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of cyber risk and compliance management frameworks gained in a consulting environment is a strong plus.
  • Nice to have - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
