Min of 5 years Proven experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal, with knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy procedures. Strong understanding of bankruptcy filings, including petitions, schedules, and financial documents. Familiarity with bankruptcy court rules, regulations, and e-filing systems.

Core responsibilities:

Prepare Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other necessary filings. Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing bankruptcy documents, including creditor matrices, statement of financial affairs, and other required forms. Draft and file petitions, motions, and other legal documents in accordance with bankruptcy law. Manage and maintain bankruptcy case files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and on time. Communicate with clients, creditors, and court staff regarding bankruptcy proceedings. Prepare bankruptcy plan documents and assist in the drafting of reorganization plans for Chapter 13 cases. Assist in reviewing creditors’ claims, identifying disputes, and helping resolve issues as they arise. E-file legal documents in bankruptcy court and track the status of filings.

Bonus Qualifications (preferred, not required) Experience with deeds, power of attorney, wills, and trusts. Knowledge of estate planning and related legal documents.
