The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services Global Financial Systems team.

What You Will Do:

  • Support sales tax and Value Added Tax (VAT) requirements during the implementation and steady state support  of  Thomson Reuters’s OneSource and Vertex Indirect Tax software engines. You will understand business operations and manage key issues from ERP and tax engine software points of view.
  • Understand and document business operations and processes affecting indirect tax to ensure a comprehensive and accurate requirements and design solution
  • Primarily focus on Raytheon business unit and resolve Tax issues in FS2 and other BU support
  • Assist with projects concerning the roll-out of  tax engine applications in new jurisdictions or adapting to new laws
  • Work closely with RTX implementation service providers through each phase of the system development lifecycle, including requirements, design, testing, implementation and support 
  • Communication and coordination of issues with all stakeholders, including business unit operations, finance, IT, and Tax

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience; Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in the fields of sales tax, value added tax and tax engine applications
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements 
  • Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Actively engaged in career development and succession planning.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience implementing and maintaining Vertex and/or OneSource for sales tax and VAT.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP systems and their integration with tax software.
  • Ability to configure tax engines and apply complex tax determination concepts.
  • Skilled in researching and implementing tax best practices in software strategies.
  • Capable of resolving complex technical issues and seeking subject matter expertise when needed.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
