Your missions

What You'll Do...

Responsible for assistance with state and local indirect tax audits, notice support and compliance. Conduct research, formulate responses to notices and coordinate payments to state and local tax authorities. Will lead and advise a remote team which files sales and use tax returns, property tax returns and business licenses for corporate owned locations. Provide other support for miscellaneous items related to federal, state or local tax reporting obligations.

Day to day, you'll..


  • Provide assistance with state and local sales and use tax audit / notice support, including research, responses and coordination of payments to various jurisdictions.
  • Lead and advise remote team to assist with resolving property tax and business license issues.
  • Supports various sales and use tax compliance matters including updating sales tax rates in Vertex and helping to resolve internal compliance issues.
  • Assist with other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring To The Team...


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
  • 3 years Minimum related work experience
  • Ability to effectively research issues and recommend and/or take corrective action needed
  • Operational knowledge of tax law and regulations sufficient for the accurate completion of various tax forms and filings
  • Ability to accurately interpret and enter information into appropriate computer software and tax forms
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and maintain priorities with multiple deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with a diverse group
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations
  • Ability to concentrate and work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment

  • Experience with tax reporting in a business office environment
  • Experience in bookkeeping and accounting concepts such as accounts payable/receivables, and reconciliations
  • An intermediate level of knowledge with Microsoft Office

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.

Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
